Learning to play a musical instrument helps children develop confidence, creativity, and cognitive skills. According to a recent study by Dr. Nina Kraus at Northwestern University in Chicago, studying music leads to increased skill in reading and speech processing. In addition, learning songs encourages bilingual learners to increase their vocabulary.
