General Admissions Information ~ K3 (Kindergarten for Age 3)
Our Kindergarten for age 3 (K3) program is our school's entry-level class. To be eligible for the class, your child should turn 3 years old before August 1st. To reserve your child's place in our K3 program, please start by contacting our office to schedule an admissions interview. The admissions interview can be completed in-person or via Zoom. The purpose of the admissions interview is to determine whether or not your family's values align with our school's values.
After completion of a successful admissions interview, you will be asked to submit the following items:
1. Photocopy of your child's birth certificate or passport (if your child has both English and Khmer identity documents please submit photocopies of both)
2. Photocopy of the ID of one legal parent or guardian
3. Photocopies of your child's vaccine records and latest health check
4. Non-refundable application fee of USD $100
After our office has received all four of the above items, the next step is that we will save your child's place in the class for the 2023-2024 school year, which will begin during August of 2023. If you prefer your child to begin school immediately, please inform us during the time of registration so that we can accommodate your child as soon as there is available space.

For placement in our K4, K5, or Grade 1 programs, we require a series of in-person and in-class evaluations and tests. Please contact us to request these evaluations and tests. We currently have a wait time of approximately 4- 8 weeks between the day your child's application is approved and the day that they can begin their studies at our school.

For placement in our primary programs for Grades 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, please submit the following items:

3. Photocopies of your child's vaccine records and latest health check
4. Transcripts of all academic records from previous primary school studies
5. Letter of recommendation or certificate of good standing from the child's most recent previous primary school
6. Applications to Grades 4/5/6 for Cambodia's National Khmer Program require an official transfer paper and record book from the child's most recent previous primary school where they studied in the Khmer National Program
6. Refundable application fee of USD $100 (our school will refund the application fee if we are unable to accommodate your child)

Our school's first Grade 7 program is currently scheduled to launch in August of 2023. We will be adding one grade each subsequent year as our current students grow. Please contact us if you are interested in your child joining our inaugural Grade 7 program. We are currently recruiting students from a diverse range of outside primary schools to join our school's first secondary school here in Kep.
Part-Time Afternoon English Classes
Kep International School currently offers part-time afternoon English classes for children who study at other schools during the day.
Level 1 ~ Monday through Friday from 3:30 - 5:00 pm
Level 2 ~ Monday through Friday from 5:15 - 6:15 pm
To register your child for a part-time English class, please bring your child for one week to test the class free of charge. If you decide to enroll your child, the cost is $30/month for 9 months out of the year ($270 USD annually).
Primary School Audit Option
For expatriate families who are visiting Kep on holiday or considering a move to Kep, we currently have a primary school audit option for Grades 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. For this program, your child can attend our school program on a per diem daily basis to try out our program and make new friends in Kep. For this enrollment option we are not able to issue any official academic transcripts. The cost is USD $22/day which includes a snack and a lunch.

Q: Does Kep International School offer bus service from Kampot Province?
A: No. Our bus service from Kampot Province has been permanently discontinued.
Q: What are your school's annual tuition and fees?
A: Our school's annual tuition fee is USD $1,980. Our tuition policy is unique because our tuition fee is the same regardless of your child's age or level. We offer discounts to families enrolling additional siblings and we offer early payment discounts.
We also have an annual capital fee of USD $200 which goes towards developing our school facilities and a one-time application fee of $100.
Q: Does your school have a canteen lunch service?
A: Yes. We offer an optional canteen lunch service for $2/day. Families can alternatively send a lunch for their child or drop off their child's lunch at 11:00 am.
Q: Does Kep International School have plans to develop a high school?
A: Yes. We are currently adding one additional grade level each year as our current students grow. Our school plans to offer classes up to Grade 7 starting in August of 2023, classes up to Grade 8 starting in August of 2024, and so on...continuing until we reach Grade 12 in August of 2028.
Q: Kep International School is a bilingual school teaching English and Khmer, but what if my child is completely new to studying Khmer? Is it possible for my child to only study English?
A: For our full-time program from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, bilingual education (English and Khmer) is at the heart of our school's work. In our school's experience, expatriate children will experience the best adjustment to living in Southern Cambodia if they have the opportunity to study the beautiful Khmer language and culture. Our beginning Khmer lessons are friendly, comfortable, and fun. If you have specific plans to transfer your child back into a school system in an English-speaking country in the future, we will work in cooperation with the school district in your family's home country to ensure a successful transfer of academic credits. As a separate program, we do offer part-time English classes every afternoon after the completion of our full-time school program. If your child is completing a full homeschool curriculum in the language of your home country, our part-time afternoon English classes might be perfect for what your family needs.
Q: What percentage of your students are expatriate children?
A: 12% of our students hold foreign passports. 88% of our students are Cambodian citizens who are working towards international education plans, often to attend university or medical school in an English-speaking country.
